DAVIDE LIGA

Post-Doctoral Researcher At FSTM

Davide is a member of the DTU Board and the main contact for the D4h on Academic matters

My main research interest is on large models (e.g. Large Language Models) and their intersection with reasoning, which I have been studying since 2019.

I focus on how to benchmark, align, manipulate and interpret these AI architectures, both the generative and the non-generative ones. I utilise a diverse range of Machine Learning techniques including deep neural networks and less conventional methods like Tree Kernels. One of my main interests is the connection between symbolic AI and sub-symbolic AI in contexts where reasoning is particularly crucial, e.g. in fields such as Argument Mining, Argumentation, and AI&Law.

I am particularly interested in applying these approaches to scenarios involving human decision-making, social narratives, and normative systems.

In general, I believe AI can help humans to understand humans.
