Elena is the DTU coordinator, a member of the DTU Board, and the main contact for the D4H on Academic Matters

Elena is a Post-Doctoral researcher working at the intersection of Digital Humanities, Computational Social Science, and Media and Communication Studies, focusing on the Computational Analysis of Modernity.

Principal Investigator of Marie Curie (GLOTECH) and Eurotech (PRESSTECH) Post-Doctoral grants. Both projects investigated topics related to Science and Technology in Society (STS), and Processes of Globalization using computational methods and a dataset of multilingual historic and contemporary newspapers.

Single author of a published research monograph (Raza y nación. Estereotipos nacionales extranjeros y peninsulares en España (1750-1833). Peter Lang, 2020) and a variety of peer-reviewed research articles (both single-authored and co-authored with colleagues across different disciplines).
